Ji Hong (PJ) Park, CFA
Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager
Ji Hong is the founder of GVA Asset Management and has been an investment professional since 2009. Before deciding to setup GVA independently, he was the head of the hedgefund management division at ANDA Asset Management. Ji Hong’s multi-strategy fund during this time was consistently the top-ranked hedgefund in the Korean hedgefund league table in terms of cumulative returns, and it also grew into the largest single Korean hedgefund in terms of AUM by the time of his departure.
Mr. Park earned a B.A. in Sociology from Yonsei University, and a Finance MBA from KAIST University and M.S. of Finance from University of Rochester. He also holds the CFA designation.
JP Hong
Portfolio Manager, Head of Hedge Fund Management Division
JP is a founding member of GVA Asset Management and has been an investment professional since 2015. He managed the multi-strategy hedgefund with Ji Hong at ANDA Asset Management. Before fully turning into investment management, he previously worked as a credit analyst at HSBC and KIS Bond Ratings. JP also worked previously as a product specialist at Credit Suisse and Allianz.
Mr. Hong earned a B.S. in Material Science from Penn State University and a M.S. in Financial Engineering from New York University.
Jewon Lee
Portfolio Manager, Head of Alternative Investment Division
Jewon joined GVA Asset Management in 2019. Prior to GVA, he worked in the IB Division at Mirae Asset Daewoo Securities and Daewoo Securities, where he focused on global alternative investments.
Mr. Lee earned a B.S. in landscape architecture and rural system engineering from Seoul National University, and a M.S. in urban planning from Seoul National University.
Junyoung Park
Portfolio Manager
Junyoung joined GVA Asset Management in 2017. He was previously employed at Woowa Brothers Corp. and WooZoo, where he focused on research, data analytics, and system development.
Mr. Park earned a B.A. in Business from Yonsei University.
Seung Ho Baik, CPA
Portfolio Manager
Seung Ho became a member of GVA Asset Management in 2022.
As a licensed accountant, he started his career in PriceWaterhouseCooper Samil in the FAS Division. After 7 years as an accountant, he transitioned over to an investment role at SynergyIB Investment and Shinhan Capital where he focused on both public and private company investments.
Mr. Baik earned a B.A. in Business from Hanyang University, and he holds a Korean CPA license.
